Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective Date: October 22, 2026
At SalamHost, we believe in providing reliable managed hosting, transparent billing, and fair treatment for our customers.
We understand that hosting needs can change. This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how customers may cancel services, request refunds, manage renewals, and retrieve their data when discontinuing SalamHost services.
This policy applies to Managed Shared Hosting, Managed WordPress Hosting, Managed VPS Hosting, domain registration, email services, and other products offered by SalamHost.
This policy forms part of our Terms of Service.
1. Our 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
SalamHost offers a 30-day money-back guarantee on eligible first-time purchases of Managed Shared Hosting and Managed WordPress Hosting.
If you are not satisfied with your eligible hosting service, you may request a refund within 30 calendar days of the original service activation date.
Eligible Services
The following services qualify:
- Managed Shared Hosting, including Starter, Business, and Pro plans
- Managed WordPress Hosting, including Starter, Business, and Developer plans
The guarantee applies to eligible monthly and annual subscriptions.
Conditions
To qualify for a refund:
- The request must be submitted within 30 calendar days of initial activation.
- The service must be an eligible hosting product.
- The purchase must be the customer’s first purchase of that hosting service.
- The account must not have been terminated for fraud, serious abuse, or unlawful activity.
- The request must comply with the remaining provisions of this policy.
The 30-day money-back guarantee applies to the initial qualifying hosting subscription only.
It does not restart when a customer renews, upgrades, downgrades, changes billing cycles, or purchases an additional service.
2. Services Excluded From the Money-Back Guarantee
Unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly agreed in writing, the following are excluded from the 30-day money-back guarantee:
- Managed VPS Hosting
- Domain registrations
- Domain renewals
- Domain transfers
- Domain redemption or restoration fees
- Setup fees identified as non-refundable at checkout
- Custom development or configuration work
- Separately billed migration services
- Third-party software licenses
- SSL certificates purchased separately
- Email usage charges already incurred
- Other specifically identified non-refundable add-ons
Any non-refundable charges will be disclosed before purchase.
3. Managed VPS Hosting Refunds
Managed VPS Hosting involves allocating server resources, provisioning infrastructure, and performing initial configuration and management.
For this reason, Managed VPS Hosting purchases and renewals are generally non-refundable once the VPS has been provisioned, except where required by law or expressly agreed in writing.
Customers may cancel VPS hosting at any time.
However, cancellation does not automatically entitle the customer to a refund for unused time.
If SalamHost is unable to provision a purchased VPS service, the customer may receive a refund of the amount paid for the unprovided service.
Customers experiencing technical issues should contact SalamHost so our team can investigate and attempt to resolve the problem.
4. Domain Registration and Renewal Refunds
Domain registrations, renewals, and transfers are generally non-refundable once successfully submitted to the applicable registrar or registry.
This is because domain transactions may be processed immediately by third-party registration providers.
The following transactions are generally non-refundable:
- New domain registrations
- Domain renewals
- Completed domain transfers
- Domain restoration and redemption fees
- Premium domain purchases
If a requested domain registration fails and the domain is not registered, SalamHost will refund the applicable registration charge or provide another remedy agreed upon with the customer.
Any registrar-permitted cancellation or refund exception will be handled individually, subject to applicable registrar policies.
Customers are responsible for checking domain names for accuracy before completing an order.
5. How to Cancel a Hosting Service
Customers can request cancellation through the SalamHost Client Area.
Cancellation Steps
- Sign in to the SalamHost Client Area.
- Open your active services.
- Select the hosting service you wish to cancel.
- Choose the cancellation option.
- Select immediate cancellation or cancellation at the end of the billing period, where available.
- Submit your cancellation request.
Customers may also contact SalamHost support for cancellation assistance.
A cancellation request is effective when it has been successfully submitted and recorded through an authorized cancellation method.
Immediate Cancellation
Customers who choose immediate cancellation request termination of their service as soon as the cancellation is processed.
Immediate cancellation may result in loss of access to websites, email accounts, databases, backups, and associated hosting resources.
End-of-Billing-Period Cancellation
Customers who choose cancellation at the end of their current billing period may continue using their service until the applicable paid-through date.
The service will then be terminated without renewing for another billing cycle.
Customers should submit cancellation requests before the next renewal charge is processed.
6. Automatic Renewals
Eligible SalamHost services may renew automatically based on the billing cycle selected during purchase.
Available billing cycles may include:
- Monthly
- Annually
- Other specifically offered terms
When automatic renewal is enabled, the authorized payment method may be charged for the applicable renewal amount.
Renewal pricing, billing frequency, and relevant terms are disclosed during checkout.
Customers can request cancellation before the next renewal to prevent future service charges.
Simply stopping use of a hosting service does not cancel its subscription.
Customers must submit a cancellation request through an authorized method.
7. Refunds for Renewed Services
The 30-day money-back guarantee applies to eligible initial purchases, not subsequent renewals.
Hosting renewals are generally non-refundable after the renewal payment has been processed, except where required by law or where SalamHost approves an exception.
Customers are encouraged to review their renewal dates and submit cancellation requests before renewal.
If an incorrect or duplicate charge occurs due to a SalamHost billing error, we will investigate and correct it as appropriate.
8. Annual Hosting Plans
Customers purchasing annual hosting plans receive service for the applicable annual billing period.
Eligible first-time annual purchases qualify for the 30-day money-back guarantee described in Section 1.
After the guarantee period expires, annual hosting payments are generally non-refundable.
Customers may cancel annual hosting before the next renewal.
If cancellation is scheduled for the end of the billing period, service access will ordinarily remain available until the annual term expires.
Unused portions of an annual subscription are not automatically eligible for prorated refunds.
9. Email Accounts and Usage-Based Billing
Certain SalamHost hosting plans offer email accounts as separately billed services or metered resources.
For eligible services, the advertised rate may be $5.00 per billable email account per month, subject to the billing terms displayed during purchase.
Usage-based email charges may be calculated from the number of active mailboxes reported by the hosting platform at a billing snapshot.
Email Account Cancellation
Customers may remove email accounts through their hosting control panel.
Deleting an email account may reduce future billable usage, but it does not automatically reverse charges already incurred.
Charges may continue until the relevant usage measurement and billing cycle reflect the change.
Monthly and Annual Hosting
Email charges may be invoiced differently depending on the billing cycle and configuration of the hosting service.
For annual hosting subscriptions, the applicable email billing and usage-calculation schedule will be disclosed separately.
SalamHost will not represent metered email charges as independently billed monthly subscriptions unless the billing system is configured to operate that way.
Refunds
Usage charges already incurred are generally non-refundable.
Incorrectly assessed usage charges will be investigated and corrected where appropriate.
10. Hosting Upgrades and Downgrades
Customers may request changes to their hosting package when supported.
Upgrades
Upgrading to a higher-tier plan may result in an additional charge based on the remaining billing period and the pricing displayed during the upgrade process.
Any applicable prorated charge will be shown before the customer confirms the change.
Downgrades
Downgrades may be subject to resource requirements and technical compatibility.
Customers must ensure their websites, databases, email accounts, and other resources fit within the lower-tier package limits.
A downgrade does not automatically entitle the customer to a cash refund.
Where supported, applicable account credits or billing adjustments will be disclosed during the downgrade process.
11. Add-On Services and Custom Work
Certain SalamHost services may be purchased separately from standard hosting subscriptions.
Examples include:
- Custom server configurations
- Additional technical assistance
- Premium migration services
- Third-party software licenses
- Additional setup services
- Specialized hosting configurations
Refund eligibility depends on the applicable service agreement and whether work has already begun or been completed.
Charges for completed custom services and delivered third-party licenses are generally non-refundable unless otherwise agreed or required by law.
Any non-refundable conditions will be disclosed before purchase.
12. Service Suspension for Nonpayment
Failure to pay invoices may result in suspension or termination of services in accordance with our Terms of Service.
During suspension, customers may lose access to websites, applications, email, and other hosting functions.
Outstanding balances may remain payable even if a service is suspended.
Paying an overdue invoice may permit reactivation if the service and associated data remain available.
Once a service has been terminated and its data deleted, restoration may not be possible.
Suspension or termination for nonpayment does not automatically create a right to a refund.
13. Data Retention After Cancellation
Customers are responsible for downloading and preserving their important data before canceling hosting services.
This may include:
- Website files
- Databases
- Email messages
- Domain configuration information
- Application settings
- Backups
- Other customer content
When a hosting account is terminated, its associated data may be permanently deleted.
SalamHost does not guarantee that terminated account data can be recovered.
Backup availability following cancellation depends on applicable retention schedules and technical circumstances.
We strongly recommend creating and verifying an independent backup before submitting an immediate cancellation request.
14. Domain Names and Hosting Cancellation
Canceling a hosting service does not necessarily cancel or terminate a separately registered domain name.
Domain registrations and hosting subscriptions may have independent billing cycles and renewal settings.
Customers wishing to discontinue both services should review and cancel each applicable service separately.
Customers may transfer eligible domain names to another registrar, subject to applicable registry and registrar requirements.
Hosting cancellation does not automatically transfer a domain to another provider.
15. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will ordinarily be issued through the original payment method when available.
If the original payment method is unavailable, SalamHost may offer an alternative lawful refund method.
Refund processing times depend on the payment processor, issuing bank, and payment method.
Although SalamHost will initiate approved refunds within a reasonable period, the time required for funds to appear in a customer’s account may vary.
Any applicable statutory refund deadlines will be observed.
16. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Customers who believe a charge is incorrect are encouraged to contact SalamHost for assistance.
We will investigate legitimate billing concerns and attempt to resolve them fairly.
Customers retain any lawful right to dispute transactions through their bank or payment provider.
SalamHost may respond to payment disputes by providing relevant transaction records and service information to the payment processor.
Accounts associated with reversed payments may be subject to payment review or service restrictions where permitted by law and reasonably necessary to address unpaid balances or fraud risks.
17. Exceptions and Special Circumstances
SalamHost recognizes that unusual circumstances may arise.
We may consider refund requests outside the standard policy on an individual basis, including circumstances involving:
- Duplicate payments
- Incorrect charges
- Unprovided services
- Material provisioning problems
- Significant service issues attributable to SalamHost
- Other documented billing or service errors
Any discretionary exception does not establish a general entitlement to similar exceptions.
Nothing in this policy limits refund rights or remedies that customers are entitled to under applicable law.
18. Changes to This Policy
SalamHost may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy to reflect changes in services, pricing practices, business operations, or legal requirements.
Updated versions will be published on our website with a revised “Last Updated” date.
Material changes will be communicated where required by law.
Changes will not retroactively eliminate accrued refund rights or override existing commitments where prohibited by applicable law.
