SalamHost may suspend or terminate services associated with serious unlawful activity and cooperate with lawful requests from appropriate authorities.
3. Malware, Hacking, and Security Abuse
Customers may not use SalamHost infrastructure to attack, compromise, or interfere with other systems.
Prohibited activities include:
- Hosting or distributing malware, ransomware, spyware, viruses, or malicious software

Legitimate security research, penetration testing, or vulnerability assessment involving SalamHost infrastructure requires prior written authorization from SalamHost.
Security testing of third-party systems must be lawfully authorized and must not threaten SalamHost infrastructure or other customers.
4. Email, Spam, and Messaging Abuse
SalamHost prohibits unsolicited bulk messaging, spam, and abusive email activity.
Customers must not:

Customers may not use hosting accounts primarily as:
- General-purpose personal cloud storage

- Unrelated mass data archives
- Backup repositories for unrelated systems
- Distribution platforms for pirated material

Legitimate website backups, application files, media libraries, and business records associated with hosted services are generally permitted within package limits.
SalamHost may impose reasonable restrictions when storage usage threatens server performance or exceeds the intended scope of a plan.
Customers remain responsible for maintaining independent backups of important data.
7. Website and Application Security
Customers are responsible for maintaining reasonably secure websites and applications.
This includes:
- Using strong passwords
- Protecting administrator accounts
- Keeping applications updated
- Removing unused or vulnerable software
- Maintaining appropriate access permissions

If a website becomes compromised, SalamHost may temporarily restrict access to prevent further damage.
We will make reasonable efforts to notify affected customers and explain necessary remediation steps.

Customers may not resell hosting services unless their purchased plan or a separate written agreement expressly permits resale.
Developers and agencies may manage client websites within the website and resource limits of their purchased hosting plans.
Customers remain responsible for ensuring that third parties using their accounts comply with this policy.
